Our Story

When I was a kid, I read a book and it changed my life. It helped me navigate the world when I had little else to guide me. I grew up using this book to help me connect with people.

One day, I got to meet the person who wrote this amazing book, and I learned the origins of the story I loved, and how it almost never happened.

I became a librarian, advocating for youth voices, helping these stories get into the hands of kids who needed them. One day, the library came under siege and I folded under the pressure.

I knew authors were still writing these stories, and people still needed to read them. So I decided to open my own bookstore.

Pinder’s Pages

Pinder’s Pages represents the intersection of my personal identity, where I can uplift and celebrate
LGBTQ+ & Caribbean stories and voices throughout the diaspora.

We’ll be operating online and pop-ups until we find our permanent home.

Who knows if (maybe) destiny is just how you tell yourself the story of your life?
